Recipient, Japan Abroad Program | 2016

For two weeks, students traveled to cities across Japan to learn about the media, culture, and customs involved in the film industry. From Tokyo to Hiroshima, students were required to document and dissect media, ranging from commercials to television shows. These reviews ranged from blogs to videos to articles. For this trip, I wrote an in-depth written analysis that explored the complexity behind Japanese commercials. This analysis was highly acclaimed by peers for its detailed observations regarding the foundation of these commercials and their potential future. This analysis was also acclaimed for its resources, which were gathered through speaking directly with both locals and a small handful of individuals who worked at commercial companies. I was able to have these conversations by learning Japanese at a beginners-level before the trip.

Recipient, Germany Abroad Program | 2015

For two weeks, students ventured to Bonn, Germany, where they learned about the media, film, and culture of the country. During this trip, students were required to create a video that explained a unique aspect of the country. I, alongside two other students, created a short film about the food culture in Germany, ranging from the local gems to the more well-known cuisines. For this project, my role included filming, editing, and creating concise written content. This film was highly regarded by peers for its crisp imagery and well-written input on this aspect of the culture.

Internship, iheartradio | 2014 - 2017

For three years, I participated in a paid internship each summer with iHeartRadio, located in Columbus, Ohio. There, I assisted in the promotions department, where I organized both in-office and out-of-office events. These events ranged from artist meet and greets, on-air fundraisers, charity events, and concerts. I also assisted in the programming department. There, I organized a new backup system that would serve the radio station in the case of a blackout or systematic errors. Within the course of three months, this system became active and was highly acclaimed for its quick turnaround and straightforward layout. This new system is still used to this day at the local radio station.

Internship, Duro labs | 2020

I participated in a paid internship for the startup company Duro Labs. There, I served as a software engineer. I assisted in the creation and organization of codes that would serve as part of the foundation of this new company and its path moving forward. When I joined Duro Labs, the team consisted of four people, including myself. Over the years, the company has grown larger and now covers a wide range of clients, from aerospace to computer infrastructure. During my time at Duro Labs, I was highly acclaimed for my work ethic and proactiveness. Not only did I use my skillsets in software side of the company but also the UI/UX department.
